Welcome to the Kim Strobel Monthly Newsletter! Every month you’ll receive a high-vibe newsletter from me sharing my favorite things, products I’m loving, and a recap of what’s going on in my life.I want this to be a way to connect with you at a deeper level and not only give you a closer look at what’s going on in my life, but also a direct way to share all the new information I am learning each month.Let’s get started!

What’s new in my life?

If you’ve been following me on the ‘gram, you would have seen tons of stories about me being in the woods. Gawd….I love the woods and nature.

I’m lucky enough to have grown up with a father who valued land and nature. My pops worked hard his whole life as a house painter.  70-hour work weeks and much of it in the 90-degree weather were the norms for him.

It was tough to get the bills paid at times, and on this particular day, when the two of us had gone to “the farm,” he told me, “Hon, I paid $950 a month for health insurance 30 years ago for my family. It was hard to make it when you were in business for yourself, but I did it.”

Along the way, he and his brothers were smart enough to buy farmland and wooded acreage.

When it was time to put his kids through college, Dad would “make a cut of wood” on the land to pay for it.

He was adamant about his kids getting college degrees. I imagine it was because he worked so hard with his body for his paycheck.

In this pic is the day my pops and I went out to check out the logging they were doing on his land. He said, “Hon, those logs end up being a piece of furniture or something to someone else who enjoys them.” He also always says, “There’s never going to be more land, so buy it when you can.”

I’m proud he’s my pops and that I get my love of nature from him.

Products I’m loving and the following affiliate links.

I have a wonderful son who loses his billfold ALL OF THE TIME. So I recently purchased the Apple Air Tag for him. It’s small and he keeps it in his wallet so he can track his wallet from his phone when he loses it.  This would be a great gift for anyone who loses stuff! My favorite incense is Morning Star Incense!  Some incense gets on my nerves, but I love theirs. I get it in lavender, sandalwood, cedarwood, and sage. Another great gift idea for the women in your life!  Introducing the…….MakeUp Eraser. My daughter-in-law got me this a few years ago and I have no idea how I went this long without it. It literally takes off your makeup and mascara with just water! I have one in my shower and one by my sink! Let’s talk protein powder.  As you know I am forever on the “trying to eat healthy” bandwagon. BIG SIGH….but one thing I am doing a good job of is fixing protein shakes in the morning. I use this shake bottle and I place a mixture of water and two scoops of Organifi Protein Powder and just shake it up.

Dog lovers…..this fish toy is so fun. My sweet Roy, Roy, who suddenly passed away this month from a genetic defect, absolutely loved this crazy toy.  I don’t want to say any more about this because I’m still insanely grieving the loss of him, but I had added this toy to the list of my favorite things and wanted to share it with you. Here’s a pic of him a few days before he suddenly passed.

Books I have recently read…

Quote I’m Digging!

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.– Albert Camus

Life is hard. It is full of wonderfulness, but also suffering. When encountering my own darkness or something hard in my life, it’s easy to feel like I’m a hopeless case of trials and tribulations.Sometimes I just want to stop having to do hard things! But then I see that each and every time, I come back from hard things. And maybe….just maybe…I’m a bit stronger or more resilient than before. And maybe, just maybe, I have a light that shines in me that refuses to be permanently doused. I’m betting you do too.
