Alright folks, we are starting to feel that New Year energy that is upon us. It’s December, you’re getting ready for Christmas. And you’re also probably thinking, what is it that I want to achieve? Or what goals do I have in 2026? And one of the things that I want to jump into in this episode is helping you shift from what goals do you want to achieve? Although there’s nothing wrong with goals and we can have some of those, I also want you to ask yourself the question, which is, how do I want to feel in my life?
Because what I have found many times is when we get ourselves back vibrationally aligned in our lives to how we want to feel first, then we can back that out to what do we need to do, achieve, take action on in order to attain that feeling.
So, for example, for several years, one of the things that I really wanted to feel in my life was a sense of freedom. I wanted to feel freedom to choose work that I love to do each and every day. I wanted to have freedom in my personal life, to be who I was, to navigate life in a way that feels aligned to who I was. I wanted to experience freedom in my choices. And so I want you, as you go through this episode that’s going to be focused on what kind of energy do we want to bring in in 2026, I want you to think about how do you want to feel in your life.
And so what we’re going to do over the next few podcast episodes is I’m going to teach you about the law of attraction. That is one of many spiritual laws, but that particular one has worked like magic in my life. So back in around 2003, somehow someone put this book in my hands called The Law of Attraction by Jerry and Esther Hicks. And I’m not gonna lie, you guys, it’s a bit woo woo. I’m into woo. And I believe in woo. And I believe in magic. And I believe that we all have way more power than what we realize when we learn to align our thoughts, actions, and beliefs towards the way we want to feel in our life. But at the time, this was a brand new concept for me.
And so I read The Law of Attraction book and it screamed to me. It was like my soul heard what it was trying to teach me. And not only that, but I also was just completely on fire with how much resonance I felt as I was learning these core principles that we have the ability to co-create a life that we love, that feels really good to us, and that life doesn’t just have to happen to us. Of course there are things that happen to us, but we have much more control over our ability to co-create our life with God, with spirit, with universal intelligence, whatever you want to call it.
But the basic principles that I was learning through this book was this whole idea that like attracts like, right? And so that whatever you focus on, the thoughts you’re thinking, the emotions that you’re having, the beliefs that you hold about yourself—which we have focused much on in the last two episodes, about the power of our beliefs and how they rule our lives—and that the more you focus on these things, the more you really do invite certain things into your experience.
We are all creating our reality every single day. We are either creating it intentionally, through being very intentional with the thoughts we’re thinking, the emotions we’re feeling, the active personal growth that we’re doing in our life, or we’re consciously creating by default, like life is just happening to us. We are creating life, but we aren’t an active observer and intentional practicer of life.
And so what I started to learn, folks, was that the thoughts that you have carry a vibration. And the universe is constantly responding to the vibration of your thoughts. And so when you feel thoughts of good, of joy, of gratitude, of expansiveness, then you attract more of those types of things in your life. Whereas if you’re negative, if you’re in fear, in doubt, in stress, in scarcity mindset, you’re going to attract more evidence of that in your life.
And this is because, folks, you’ve heard that whole saying, you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, right? That is exactly what we’re talking about: your thoughts. You know, you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, one thing bad happens, then another thing bad happens, and something else bad happens. And before you know it, you’ve had a whole day of bad experiences. That’s because your thoughts are literally attracting some of what’s coming on your radar.
And so what we know is that we have the ability to what we call co-create in our lives. We have the ability to embrace higher vibrational frequencies, higher vibrational emotions. And that when we start to gain control of our thoughts that directly affect the emotions and the beliefs we’re having, we begin to learn how to attract more good in our life. And folks, you might be thinking this sounds crazy, Kim, but let’s be honest—Einstein discovered the law of attraction. Einstein said everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. And when you match the frequency of the reality that you want, you cannot help but get that reality.
He says it can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics. And so people like Einstein discovered that as human beings, we are just a field of energy. We have these constant moving waves of energy. You know this. You walk in a room and you can feel someone’s dark, dense, heavy energy. Or you walk in a room and you feel people’s lightness of energy. Like we literally feel the energy body of other people around us. And the entire universe is a state of vibration, and each thing generates its own frequency.
My iPhone has energy. This table has energy, right? It has electrons and protons and neutrons, and they’re all moving, right? Every single thing that you can touch or see has a vibration to it. Wood, rocks, concrete, it’s all vibrating. And everything, including you as a human. You’re a bunch of atoms, and each atom has a nucleus, and each nucleus has electrons that are rotating around it. The numbers and the shapes of these electrons and the orbits around them, those give each substance, like a piece of wood, this coffee cup—they give each substance a particular set of vibrational energy.
So what we know, folks, is that everything is moving and vibrating. So what this means is that every thought you’ve had or ever have had or ever will have is creating a vibration that is going out into the universe. And what that thought is doing is it’s meeting up with other vibrations. And so when you get enough energy together, it clumps into matter, right? That’s what we understand. Like this desk is a bunch of atoms, and it’s all clumped together, and it’s matter. And so Einstein said that matter is formed out of energy, right? It’s all these atoms and electrons in the orbits of them vibrating that makes this coffee cup look and feel like a coffee cup.
And we know this. Again, this is physics, right? And so, you know, you’re in a room with a cheery group of people, and all of a sudden, this one person enters the room. You can literally feel the energy of the room change. I felt this when I was working in schools. I would at times walk into the teacher’s lounge, and there was so much complaining about the kids going on. Like, I would just feel this heaviness, heaviness come over me. Or, I remember when I was a curriculum director, you know, and I would have people stopping by my office, and they just wanted to focus constantly on everything that’s wrong with the school system. I finally put up a poster on my door that said, “Be aware of the energy you are bringing into this work world, into this room.”
And so again, why does this happen? Why do we feel this energy shift? Well, it’s because as human beings, we are all vibrating. And each person vibrates at their own unique frequency, which is based on the thoughts they’re having and the emotions they’re experiencing and the demeanor that they have. And so a person who is experiencing sadness, they will emit sadness, right? Someone full of light leaves you feeling invigorated when they leave your energy space.
And so one of the things that, you know, we think of is that we are all these bundles of energy and those energies create a vibration. And let me tell you, give me another example of the law of attraction at work. Have you ever been thinking of someone and then all of a sudden they just call you and you’re like, how did that happen? I was just literally thinking of that person. That is the law of attraction. It’s that you’re emitting a certain vibration and it’s lining up with the other person and it’s causing that exchange at times to happen.
And so what this means, folks, is again, it’s the energetic field that gives us the ability to shape and design our lives. And it works 100% of the time. It’s the law of physics. Math says 2 plus 2 equals 4. Your every thought is affecting your current reality. And the universe that we live in is made up of nothing but waves and particles of energy. And those waves and particles of energy conform to our expectations, judgments, and beliefs.
And so you’ve probably heard this phrase, that which is like unto itself is drawn. You might have heard birds of a feather flock together, right? Or like attracts like. And so people who generate similar frequencies, they’re attracted to each other, right? Nobody—like, we all have times where we feel heavy feelings, where we feel sadness or disappointment, but nobody wants to be around somebody who’s constantly emitting that kind of energy because it just brings the other person down, right?
And so again, sometimes this makes us think like, you know, you are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. And so are you choosing to spend the majority of your time with people who uplevel you, who increase your potential, who set the ceiling high on what is possible in potential for your own life? Or are you surrounding yourself with people who drain your energy? Who focus on the negative, who have that scarcity mindset, who have one problem after another after another after another. And in our businesses, in our schools, in our organizations, we have to think about who are we spending our time with and are we surrounding ourselves with people who are better than us. Because I always tell people, you want to surround yourself by people who are better than you, because when you do that, you will become better again. This is like attracts like.
And so when we think about this, we have a huge amount of responsibility, right? Because, you invite the people, the circumstances and the events into your life through your thoughts. I know, but I want you to stick with me on this series as we’re going into the new year, because this is a basic principle that’s working in our lives at all times. And if you want to change your life, if you want to uplevel your life, if you want 2026 to feel different, then you need to learn the law of attraction.
And so you attract in your life whatever you give your attention to, whatever you give your energy to, whether you focus on the positive or the negative, you attract it all. And it’s like a magnet, right? And you’re creating it. And sometimes people are creating it by default because they’re not being intentional about their thoughts. They’re not being intentional about the personal development work that they need to do on themselves. So they’re creating it by default, right?
Let me give you some examples. If all you do is focus on your weight and how heavy you are and how awful your body looks, you know, if you feel overweight, you will never be able to attract thinness, right? If you see yourself as poor, as someone who never has money, and you focus all the time on the little money that you have and that you’re barely getting by and you can’t afford the things that everybody else can afford, then if you’re going to be somebody who just focuses on that, even if it is your current circumstance, you will never be able to attract wealth.
And I will tell you, as somebody who used to make $8 an hour and lived paycheck to paycheck and didn’t know how I’d ever get myself out of that cycle of scarcity mindset until I learned the law of attraction. And that regardless of where I was right now, I could be already creating for my future, you know, and so again, we are a magnet and we are attracting this at all times.
And I want you to think about this as like a radio. You know how when you tune in to a frequency on the radio, right? Like there’s these vibrations that are coming over the…whatever it is, the magical force that allows you to tune into a station when you’re driving your car. That’s the same thing we’re talking about. It’s a vibrational frequency, and there’s this invisible energy force that is constantly available for us, and we have to figure out which channel we want to tune into.
It’s like electricity, right? You have to plug into the electrical outlet, and it’s like the lamp that has that electricity flowing to it, but you’ve got to flip the switch, right? And so people sometimes really struggle to believe in things they cannot see. But you and I can’t see the electricity that is somehow flowing through the cord, that is somehow lighting up the… We can’t see it, but we know it’s there. We don’t know how we can use our cell phone, and I can call my friend over in England. I have no idea how that’s happening, because I don’t see it, but it is happening. There’s some type of vibrational current or something happening that allows me to do that.
And so, again, I know that sometimes people struggle to believe in the things they can’t see. But again, you know, who would have thought years ago that we could watch somebody singing on The Voice, and it could pass through brick and glass and wood and mortar and somehow get to a transmitter tower that somehow gets to the TV in your room, right?
And so again, our thoughts are vibrational energy waves, and those thoughts are attracting what you are or are not experiencing in your life. And so we’re going to get into all of this in multiple episodes. This is episode one, which is really about just understanding that the thoughts you’re thinking, the actions you’re taking, the beliefs that you’re holding, the intentional practices that you have in your life, you are creating your life. You are attracting it.
I was telling my husband just recently, like, I don’t know what it is. I’ll just be completely honest with you. But, like, I seem to attract the same situation over and over and over again. It’s a silly situation, but it triggers me every single time it happens. And it’s happening with people that I really love, that I think are good people that are friends or family in my life. But I seem to attract these triggers that keep happening with people who I think really love me, but they’re kind of hurting me through their actions. It’s not a lot of people, but it’s a handful. It’s a pattern. Enough to say, “Kim, why do you keep getting stung like this? Why does this behavior that they have hurt me so badly? And why is it not just this person doing it, but it’s a handful of them?” And I know that I am so focused on the negative energy about how I feel when they exhibit this behavior that I’m just attracting more and more and more into it. And I know that it’s my responsibility to change it. I just have to figure out how to change it.
And so that’s what we’re really talking about, folks, and we’re going to get into this a lot more. And if you want to know more about beliefs, I want you to back it up to the previous two episodes where we talked about the power of the beliefs that are operating in your life. Because you might want to go back and listen to the previous two podcast episodes where we go really deep into how the beliefs that you hold are driving what is showing up in your life. It’s driving the actions that you are not taking. It’s creating your life. Your beliefs are creating your life. So go back and listen to those two episodes if that is something that is resonating with you.
And if you’re like, “You know what, Kim, I’m intrigued by this idea. I’ve never heard of the Law of Attraction. I’ve never heard about manifesting. I didn’t know you could be a co-creator of your life and you know that this is resonating with you.” Then click this link and copy it over and send it to anybody else that you know that’s on your friends list that kind of might need this pick me up going into 2026, who’s saying like, “I want to create something different for 2026. I don’t want it to feel like 2025 did,” or “I’m tired of living the same year over and over again and nothing ever changes. So if this episode episode is resonating with you, I want you to click that share button, shoot this episode over to them, and I’m going to create a series that’s going to get us primed, pumped and ready for 2026.
